These systems combine with the Access Control module to make it easier for receptionists to speed up the throughput of members at the desk. They can be configured to operate either on the desk or to control a door or turnstile. As well as the systems shown here, SportSoft can also integrate with existing systems, such as student ID cards.


Pre-printed plastic cards

We can supply many different types of pre-printed plastic cards, including bar-code, mag-stripe, proximity and key fob. Still the most popular ID system, cards are simple to use and have an additional promotional advantage when handed to a new member


Fingerprint Recognition

Fingerprint recognition is part of a growing technology known as Biometrics, which as the name suggests, takes measurements from the human body to describe its unique characteristics. The measurements can then be used as a highly secure way to identify a person.

Customers register by placing their finger on the scanner for a few seconds while the system records and stores their unique measurements – images of the fingerprints are not stored.

Subsequently, upon entering the centre, the customer places the same finger over the scanner and their details will appear on the screen in the Access Control system. If applicable, the Access Control system will continue to operate any doors or turnstiles in the usual manner with the scanner effectively replacing the card readers. Various colours are available

The main advantages of the system are the high level of security it provides and the low cost of running a system with no swipe cards to lose or replace. Should a finger become damaged, another finger can be used to re-register.

Whichever the situation, our card printing software may be a solution for you. Cards can be printed one at a time as a member joins, or in a batch at the end of the week for mailing.

Plastic cards can be printed (and encoded) to a purpose-built card printer, or simply use a standard A4 printer, then cut, fold and laminate

Printing to a Standard Paper Printer

With the Standard Card Printing Module, you will be able to produce your own cards on any standard Windows laser or ink jet printer. You will need a laminating machine and some credit card size pouches which are available from most stationers.
