PC Upgrades - clients can be caught out when it comes to replacing their PCs. They often find out that the new PC does not contain the correct ports or connections to attach their POS hardware or door entry system. Modern PCs do not contain serial ports unless specifically requested so it is very important to check how many serial ports will be needed when you order a new PC so everything can be connected when it arrives. As a quick solution, some clients opt for USB to COM port adapters to replicate the built-in ports, but our experience of these adapters is not inspiring - we will not sell them or support their use - only for use in an emergency.
